DRUMS-

PACIFIC EX DRUMS with SABIAN B8 PRO CYMBALS - Well, I'm a bass player, not a drummer - so this kit works GREAT for me. It's DW's lower line and I think it's GREAT quality for the money, I spent around $800 total for the kit, throne, cymbals, sticks, etc... I love playing drums and I smash them around during the day when no one else is home. Also nice to have a kit here so if I want to jam at home the drummer doesn't have to bother bringing a kit in, setting up, etc... VERY nice drums, I love 'em! Highly recommended to other beginners & musicians who just want a home kit for recording & practicing, I think they'd be fine for gigging as well!

RECORDING GEAR-

I built my own recording studio in 2005, that equipment is NOT listed here - Click this link for more info: www.DavesPlaceRecording.com

ROLAND VS-880EX DIGITAL WORK STATION - I bought this in December 1998. The first thing I noticed was that it has far less hiss and noise than my old Fostex 4 track, the Roland is much cleaner. It's also more fun to use and easier for me to understand than the Fostex was as well. And track bouncing quality is WAY superior to using tape machines. I've done some all bass recordings and taped some of our band practices during the pre-production periods for our Please Disturb CD. It was a valuable tool in that respect, it really gave us a good quality recording that we could use to listen and analize our songs before going to the studio. A couple things I don't like would be the fact that you're limited to using only two effects from the internal effects during mixdown and learning how to use the effects can be a bit confusing. There are some other areas that are a bit complicated to learn as well. All in all, I like this purchase and would recommend this machine to anyone looking for a home recording device.

BOSS DR5 DRUM MACHINE - This is a nice unit and has many features besides just drum beats. Great for home studio work.

KEYBOARD-

YAMAHA PSR-225 - Great keyboard at a good price for someone like me that can't play keyboards at all but still wants to learn as well as using it on some home recordings.
